Button Quail

From time to time we also have parent hatched, outdoor aviary raised button quail available. I keep button quail in my aviary to clean up the spilled seed as well as the Gouldian tossed fruits, veggies, and greens. They are excellent at keeping the bottom of the aviary floor clean and I wouldn't have an aviary without them!

Button quail are cute, small little quail that do well in finch aviaries. They do not bother the finches; and the finches don't mind the quail running around. Button Quail babies are the cutest little things, about the size of large bumble bees when hatched. Full grown, female buttons average about 5" in length and males slightly smaller at 4 1/2" in length.
